Registration & Deadlines
All participants must register in advance. Registration confirms your spot and covers on-site logistics, including poster board and lunch on the day of the fair. Registration for the ISRIF Fair opens on June 1, 2026, and closes on September 13, 2026. The event will be held on September 26, 2026.
Registration Fees
Registration fees are set at USD $80 for individual projects, USD $130 for teams of two students, and USD $180 for teams of three students. Non-student attendees, including family members and mentors, may attend at a rate of USD $50 per person. Lunch is included for all registered participants.
What to Submit
To enter the competition, prepare:
- Abstract: A clear and concise summary of the research question, methodology, key results, and conclusions (250–300 words)
- Poster (PDF): A polished, presentation-ready visual that clearly communicates the project
- Ethics Documentation (if needed): Required for projects involving sensitive or regulated materials
Be sure to submit all materials by the deadline to be considered.
Awards
Top ranked posters in each category will receive awards. Award decisions are based on the full evaluation:poster presentation and judge interview. In addition to category awards, special recognition will be givento outstanding projects demonstrating excellence in research design and community impact.
Poster Preparation Instructions
A research poster template is available for download on this page for your reference. You may customize the provided template or create your own design. Please ensure that your poster meets the following requirements:
Poster size:
The poster must be 40 inches wide × 30 inches high in landscape orientation. To set the correct size in PowerPoint, select Design → Slide Size → Custom Slide Size, then enter 40 inches for the width and 30 inches for the height.(See Pic)
File format:
Upload the completed poster as a PDF file during registration. Before submitting, review the PDF carefully to ensure that all text, figures, tables, and images are displayed correctly.
Content:
Include the poster title, author name(s), institutional affiliation(s), Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, References, and Acknowledgments, as applicable to your project.
Design:
Use clear section headings, readable fonts, concise text, and high-resolution figures and tables. Organize the content logically and avoid overcrowding the poster.
Printing and presentation:
Students are responsible for printing their own posters and bringing the printed posters to the fair. Please ensure that the poster is printed at the required 40 × 30-inch size and arrives in good condition.
Also we can provide printing service at a cost of $65. Please be advised that September 16 is the final deadline to place your order for this service. Orders will not be accepted after this date.
Submission:
Upload the final PDF during registration and bring the printed poster with you on the day of the fair.
